Portfolio Development
UOI’s experience in the provision of Takaful products can be traced back to 2002 when we took over the business of another insurance company. Since then, we recognised that the niche market for Takaful is a growing one and we want to be there in the forefront driving this growth.
Over the past few years, we have been building the business infrastructure to support the servicing of syariah-compliant products. By working with like-minded partners, we have been able to provide competitive general Takaful products for the local market.
With the recent growth in Islamic Finance globally and, in particular, Takaful and Retakaful business in the Middle East and South East Asia, UOI intends to devote even greater attention to developing this business.
